See the world from the floor
This is a simple exercise to train the child’s neck, back and shoulder musculature. The exercise is aimed at young children aged between 3 months and 1 year, but can also be used for older individuals if the movements need to be trained. For this exercise you need to have a nice, safe surface on which to place the child, a towel or small cushion and toys the child likes.
Description
Place the child on the floor or other stable surface. Preferably use a rolled towel or a small, thin pillow under the arms to make it easier for the child to support herself/himself with her/his forearms, and lift her/his head. To encourage the child to hold her/his head up a bit longer, place a book or tablet at a suitable distance in front of the child.
