Tug of war
A simple, fun exercise to train the strength of the legs. The exercise is aimed at young children from about the age of 1, but can also be used by both younger and older individuals where leg movements need to be trained. For this exercise, you need a stable surface and a balloon or soft ball or toy.
Description
Place the child lying on her/his back on a reasonably soft mat. Use a ball or soft toy placed between the child’s legs. Let the child hold the ball between her/his legs. The exercise can be made more difficult and easier by pulling on the ball with varying degrees of force, or by increasing or reducing the size of the ball.
