Push off
A fun, challenging exercise to train the extensor muscles of the legs. The exercise is aimed at children from about one and a half years of age, or when the child begins to understand simple verbal instructions. For this exercise, a stable surface is required.
Description
Place the child on her/his back on a soft but stable surface. Play and joke with the child and urge the child to push properly with their feet against your stomach. Either the child moves backwards, or the child will also push you away. Play and vary the results so that the child appreciates the exercise.
