Biceps-curl
Great exercise for the biceps musculature (muscles that bend in the elbow). The exercise is aimed at children from the age of 7 and upwards, but can also be used by younger individuals. For this exercise you need a mirror, rubber band or dumbbells or barbells.
Description
Place the child in a stable position with the selected weight in her/his hands in front of the mirror. Instruct the child to activate the abdominal musculature and bend and stretch the elbows. The movement downwards should be slow and controlled. Remember to work with calm movements, slightly faster on the way up to keep to the nerve pathway. If it is too tough, the child can easily end up swinging her/his whole body, which is a sign that you should use a lighter weight.
